The following full time positions are available for the 2009-2010 school year at the SLV BOCES:
Current openings
Speech/Language Pathologist
Requires Colorado Licensure with a MA in Speech Language and ASHA Exam
or meet the requirements for Temporary Teacher Eligibility. This person
is responsible for the language/communication component of the IEP
evaluations and for the provision of direct and indirect
speech/language services. Bilingual a plus but not required.
Educational Interpreter (Sign Language)
Requires holding a CEIC or be eligible for CDE Authorization: Educational Interpreter
Audiologist
Requires holding DORA Registration in Audiology OR CDE
License with School Audiologist Special Services Endorsement. Working
with children Birth to Graduation. Travel is required.
Early Childhood Special Education Teacher
Requires holding a CDE ECSE License AND/OR be willing to work on a temporary endorsement program.
Paraprofessional
Requires high school diploma to be employed in an early
childhood setting. Requires AA degree/equivalent to/ACT workkeys to be
highly qualified for a k-12 position. Bilingual a plus but not required.
Occupational Therapist
Requires holding a CDE License in occupational therapy or be willing to work on a temporary endorsement program.
Special Education Teacher
Full time special education teacher within the SLV Youth Detention
Center. Requires valid Colorado Teacher License with a Special
Education Endorsement or be eligible for a Temporary Teacher
Eligibility.

Migrant Education Program Preschool Family Advocate
Qualifications for the part
time position include: two years of college or a combination of college and
work experience; demonstrated ability to speak, read, and write in English and
Spanish; valid CO driver’s license; auto insurance; reliable transportation and
flexible work hours. This position
involves: providing families and children with instructional and supplemental
services, parent involvement activities; developing collaborations with early
childhood providers; and identifying services available through community
organizations. The Preschool Family
Advocate will work with the Migrant Education staff and will be directly
supervised by the Director of the Migrant Program with specific duties and
responsibilities. Applications will be accepted until June 22, 2009.

involves: providing Out of School Youth with instructional and supplemental services;
drop out prevention, developing and implementing programs for out of school
youth between 16-21 years of age; and
building partnerships with community agencies, employers and other relevant
persons/organizations The Out of School
Youth Advocate will work with the Migrant Education staff and will be directly
supervised by the Director of the Migrant Program with specific duties and
